A vineyard and a guest farmhouse in the production area of Colli di Parma DOC wines.
The Al Vigneto guest farmhouse is an integral part of the Federico Amadei Winery. Founded in 1992 through the purchase of the “Casa Campanini” farm, the company spreads out over two parallel hills lying in north-south direction, at an altitude between 270 and 330 metres, connected so as to form a hemicyle at the top of which there is an old stone farmhouse. At the centre, there is a pond surrounded by spontaneous vegetation. Along the Pozzolo road, which runs north-south on the most westward hill, there is the nature route called “La Costa” that connects Barbiano di Felino to San Michele Tiorre.
The guest farmhouse has a long terrace that overlooks its 28 hectares of vineyard; a lovely observation and listening point from which one can enjoy a wide panoramic view of Parma and the Po Valley. In the distance to the north-west one can see the outline of the Felino Castle, to the south the Apennines and to the north, on the clearest days, the whole Alpine Arc.
Located about a 20-minute drive from the historical centre of Parma, it is the ideal place for an aperitivo at sunset, for lunch on a cool spring day, or for dinner in the refreshing evening breeze after a hot summer day.
